Heise's Plumbing successfully completed a professional gas water heater replacement service at a residential property on 14th Street in San Francisco, CA. The homeowner reported a leaking water heater tank that had lost heating efficiency and was at risk of causing water damage to the utility space.
Our local water heater specialist arrived on-site and performed a detailed inspection. We diagnosed the issue as tank lining failure and recommended a complete replacement. The client opted for a premium AO Smith 40-gallon standard gas water heater.
During the installation, we safely decommissioned and hauled away the old tank. We installed the new AO Smith water heater, replaced the old water connections, upgraded the gas supply line piping, and installed a new gas shutoff valve for enhanced safety. The team also installed a new temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve and overflow pipe.
Following installation, the gas line was leak-tested, and the water heater was filled and turned on. We verified proper burner ignition, thermocouple signal, and drafts. The new water heater operates flawlessly, providing the home with an abundant and reliable hot water supply. All systems and connections were verified to be operating safely and efficiently before the project was completed.
