The Problem
Two roof leader drains at a property in the Mission District of San Francisco were clogged and not draining properly. An initial attempt to clear the lines with a hand-crank drain cable was unsuccessful because the existing piping did not provide adequate service access. Heises Plumbing recommended adding dedicated access points so the affected roof leader drains could be properly serviced and cleared.
Our Solution
Heises Plumbing completed the necessary piping modifications by installing two 2-inch test tees to provide access to the roof leader drain lines. With the new access points installed, the team completed drain cleaning and removed leaves and debris restricting the lines. The completed work provided better service access and allowed the two roof leader drains to be properly cleared.
